When Spring arrives in New Smyrna Beach, our near shore fishing can climb off the charts if the weather permits!  With the Cobia migrating up the coast following the manta rays, nothing tops sight fishing for Cobia.  Soon thereafter bait pods start to infiltrate our surf and Tarpon show up along the beaches as well as sharks and other coastal pelagic species like Kingfish.

Between my skiff and 35 foot Marlago, we have the right boat to get out and be comfortable while fishing nearshore.  My Marlago is powered by 2, 300 HP Mercury Verado 4 stroke motors.  The motors are whisper quiet while idling and powerful enough to get us to the fishing grounds quickly.  The boat is large enough to absorb afternoon seabreeze chop and is nimble enough to spin around and maneuver to get on the fish quickly!

Near-shore charters offer clients the option to get out on the ocean without having to commit to a full day of fishing.  It also provides Leary first time fishermen the opportunity to experience fishing in the ocean without having to leave the sight of land!
