Offshore fishing in New Smyrna Beach can present you with unlimited possibilities.  Bottom fishing charters can provide opportunities to catch Triggerfish, Cobia, Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Sharks, Amberjack and a number of other species.

Trolling fishing can be exceptional during the spring when the water starts to warm up and the Mahi Mahi start to migrate through in the gulf stream waters approximately 40 miles offshore.  Plan on a full day of fishing for all gulf stream trips.  Trolling also provides other opportunities to catch Sailfish, Kingfish, Barracuda and Bonito.  It’s not unheard of to hear of a very occasional Marlin.

I’m happy to work with people aboard my 35′ Marlago Center Console Fishing Boat, but for gulf stream charters, I usually pair up with one of a handful of other local captains with larger, more accommodating vessels to make your off-shore fishing experience comfortable and memorable.   Gulf stream trolling trips are typically about 40 miles offshore.  Depending on Seas, the trip to and from the fishing grounds can be 1 hour to 2 hours.
